Deco has convinced the full-back to sign for Barça

The Italian is waiting for the blaugrana club, although Juventus, Chelsea and Atlético are also moving.

Andrea Cambiaso has become one of the most watched names by FC Barcelona. The Juventus full-back is liked for versatility, range and huge tactical intelligence. But the most important detail is that his priority would be waiting for Barça.

Deco has worked on this file quietly, knowing the full-back market is difficult. The player has other clubs attentive, but he does not want to rush. Chelsea and Atlético Madrid have asked, although Barça have emotional advantage.

Cambiaso waits for Barça

Cambiaso knows Barça’s interest is not new and his profile fits well. He can play on the left, operate on the right and move inside. That tactical richness makes him very attractive for Hansi Flick’s team.

The German coach wants modern full-backs able to attack, defend and read different moments. Cambiaso offers that mix of running power, pause, technique and offensive reading. He is not a flat full-back, but a structure-changing piece.

The problem is that Barça have not made the definitive move yet. The sporting department have several open files and must organise priorities first. Even so, the player would reportedly wait if a serious possibility appears.

Juventus open a door

Juventus have Cambiaso protected with a contract until 2029, but will listen. The Italian club face a sensitive summer and must study economically useful exits. That is why the full-back no longer looks completely untouchable.

In Italy, his valuation is being placed between €30 million and €40 million. That figure is not easy for Barça, but not totally impossible either. Everything will depend on sales, salary margin and Deco’s proposed formula.

Juventus will not gift away a player with market, age and international projection. They also know Chelsea and Atlético can push if they see opportunity. Barça must move carefully, but cannot let the operation sleep too long.

Balde can shape the scenario

The Cambiaso file is directly connected to Alejandro Balde’s future. The academy player has not asked to leave, but Barça will listen. A major sale there could completely change the club’s defensive planning.

Balde still has major sporting value, although his season created some internal doubts. Flick does not see him as untouchable in every possible scenario. Cambiaso could become an immediate solution if Barça move that piece.

There is also the João Cancelo factor, still valued by Deco. The Portuguese can play on both sides, but his continuity needs financial fit. Cambiaso, meanwhile, would represent a younger investment with future growth.

Deco has an advantage, but not control

Barça’s big advantage is that Cambiaso sees the Camp Nou as a priority. That willingness can slow other moves and give Deco some time. But the player’s desire will not be enough if Juventus receive more.

Chelsea have money, while Atlético want strong, intelligent wide defensive profiles. Both clubs can offer important projects if Barça do not turn interest into talks. That means the Italian’s wait also has a natural limit this summer.

Barça have achieved something important by making Cambiaso look first towards Barcelona. Now comes the hardest part: finding money, formula and squad space. The twist is clear: Deco has convinced the player, but still must convince the market.
