They have also transmitted that the London club are open to negotiating an exit in this market.
The operation does not appear as an absolute priority in Barça’s sporting planning. However, the club wanted to know the conditions and the possible fit before ruling it out too quickly. Fofana offers a profile liked for speed, experience and immediate defensive versatility.
A profile that fits by level and versatility
Wesley Fofana has international experience, competitive rhythm and the ability to play in two key positions. He can act as a centre-back in a back four, but also as a right-back in certain situations. That detail is quite attractive for Barça, where the defence needs flexible solutions for the whole season.
