The sporting department wants to resolve the academy midfielder’s future this week, with Al Hilal leading the race after submitting the strongest proposal.
Marc Casadó’s future could be decided within the next few days. Barça are working intensively to complete one of their biggest operations of the summer and reportedly hope to receive around €30 million, including fixed fees and bonuses, for the La Masia graduate. The club wants clarity before preseason begins.
According to recent reports, Al Hilal have submitted the strongest offer after weeks of negotiations with the player’s representatives. Super-agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly played a key role in the discussions, placing the Saudi club at the front of the race. At the time of writing, no agreement has been finalized.
Casadó is still weighing up his future
Despite the financial appeal of the proposal, Marc Casadó has not yet made a final decision. The midfielder understands that the offer is extremely attractive from an economic perspective, but he is also considering the sporting impact of moving to the Saudi Pro League. His long-term development remains an important factor.
Even so, reports suggest his position has softened in recent days. While he continues evaluating all available options, he is now reportedly more open to joining Al Hilal than he was only a few weeks ago. The situation remains fluid.
European clubs remain in the race
The transfer is not exclusively dependent on Al Hilal. AC Milan are among the European clubs closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation, while several other teams have also shown interest in the Barça academy product. Competition remains very much alive.
Inside Barça, there is awareness that interest from European clubs could still influence the outcome. Nevertheless, Al Hilal’s proposal remains the most attractive financially and offers the best chance of reaching the valuation expected by Deco. That gives the Saudi club a significant advantage.
Barça want everything resolved before preseason
The Catalan club hopes to finalize the operation before the squad returns for preseason on July 13. Although it is not an absolute deadline, Barça would prefer to avoid Casadó rejoining training if his departure is already close. Resolving the situation early would simplify Hansi Flick’s planning.
Completing the sale would also strengthen Barça’s financial position following their return to LaLiga’s 1:1 financial rule. The twist is clear: the coming days could decide not only Casadó’s future but also give Deco the financial boost needed for the rest of the transfer window.
Caution note: At the time of writing, there is no official agreement between Barça, Marc Casadó, and any interested club. The reported offers and negotiations remain ongoing and are subject to further developments before any transfer is confirmed.
