Barça dressing room explodes and players don’t hold back: “It was a robbery”

The dressing room of FC Barcelona erupted after the clash against Atlético de Madrid. Several refereeing decisions left a deep sense of frustration among key players. And this time, some of them did not hold back after the final whistle.

The words of Raphinha and Gavi perfectly capture the internal mood. Anger is real, and it is spreading across the squad.

Raphinha explodes: “It was a robbery”

The Brazilian winger was the most outspoken after the match. He directly pointed at the refereeing performance with unusually strong statements.

“For me, it was a robbery,” he said without hesitation, summarizing his feelings in one blunt sentence. The reaction quickly went viral and ignited debate.

Raphinha made it clear that frustration had been building throughout the game. And in his view, key decisions heavily influenced the outcome.

Strong criticism of refereeing decisions

Raphinha also highlighted the referee’s inconsistency when dealing with fouls. He claimed that Atlético committed multiple infractions without receiving yellow cards.

“We played extremely well, but I don’t understand the criteria against Barcelona,” he explained after the match. His comments point directly at what he considers unfair treatment.

The winger didn’t stop there. He suggested a deeper issue behind these decisions, raising even more controversy.

A statement that fuels the debate

In a second reflection, Raphinha went even further. His words have already sparked intense discussions across media and fans.

“I’d like to understand this fear referees have of letting Barça win,” he added. This statement has not gone unnoticed and could have consequences.

It is a claim that goes beyond a single match. And it places the spotlight firmly on refereeing in European competitions.

Gavi responds with a more measured tone

Meanwhile, Gavi adopted a more controlled approach in his post-match comments. However, he still made his position clear regarding the officiating.

“The referee didn’t favor us, but it’s not an excuse,” he stated. The midfielder tried to separate the refereeing from the team’s overall performance.

Even so, his words confirm the shared feeling inside the squad. There is frustration, even if not everyone expresses it the same way.

Key moments still under scrutiny

Gavi also addressed specific controversial moments during the match. He believes that his elbow challenge should not have resulted in a yellow card.

Additionally, he commented on a key defensive action. “Koundé is there in front; then the referee can decide or not,” he explained.

These details continue to fuel the debate. And they highlight how fine margins shaped the outcome of the game.

«En els dos últims anys hem demostrat que som un equip amb molta qualitat, que domina els partits i guanya títols. Hem de seguir així, continuar creixent.»

«Els joves estan donant un nivell espectacular. Hi ha marge de millora a tot l’equip i ho donarem tot perquè així sigui i… pic.twitter.com/EXsBOTw6ZV

A frustrated but confident dressing room

Despite the anger, there is also a clear internal message within the team. Barça players believe they were the better side on the pitch.

“We were much better, but the ball has to go in,” Gavi concluded. It is a reflection that shifts part of the responsibility back onto the team.

The feeling is mixed. Frustration with the referee, but also awareness of missed opportunities.

Controversy far from over

The post-match reactions have reignited the refereeing debate around this tie. And everything suggests that the controversy will continue in the coming days.

With the context of the UEFA Champions League, the situation becomes even more sensitive. The focus is no longer only on football, but also on officiating decisions.

And right now, the noise around Barça is louder than ever.
