The possible return of Leo Messi to FC Barcelona is on everyone’s lips. The words of Rafa Yuste, sporting vice-president of the Catalan club, which confirmed the rumours of interest in the signing came days after Camp Nou chanted the Messi name at the Kings League finals.
Sergio Agüero, a close friend of Messi, pointed to the Kings League ‘party’ as one of the possible reasons for the start of the rumours of his return. Ibai Llanos asked him about the details of the ‘mega-operation’ in his live broadcast on Twitch. The former Barcelona player did not hesitate to show his desire for Leo to return to play at Camp Nou.
‘Kun’ left in the air the possibility that the whole movement of Barcelona fans for the return of Messi started with the ovation of the supporters who filled the stadium last weekend for the Kings League. “It’s probably because of what happened that day with Gerard in the Kings League,” joked the Argentinian.
Ibai Llanos asked ‘Kun’ if he believed that the love at Camp Nou had reached Messi, to which the Argentine did not hesitate to comment: “Yes, for sure,” he said. “It seems that day at Camp Nou was key,” added Ibai.
Messi’s future
As of today, Messi is still a PSG player. His contract expires on 30 June. However, if he does not renew it, he could leave for free in the summer. It is up to the player to make a decision on the matter. “The beautiful stories of life must end well,” said Rafa Yuste about the possible return of the Argentine.
The economic fit of this operation is probably the key to everything. Xavi wants him, Leo sees returning home as an attractive option and recovering a cordial relationship with Joan Laporta would be a matter of time. Everything will depend on what Messi decides.
