One of them is Marcus Thuram (25 years old), French international striker who ends his contract with the Borussia Monchengladbach and will be free in summer. Despite the fact that his name has been on the table, in the sports committee there is no consensus with the attacker. Meanwhile, Thuram has more and more options on the table. The clearest, to this day, seems to be Bayern Munich.
Thuram is one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga, with 11 goals, three behind Fullkrug (Werder Bremen), with 14. This year, he also established himself in the French team with whom he finished runner-up in the world in Qatar. He is a footballer who knows the Bundesliga perfectly, and more than adapted because this is already his fourth season in the Borussia Monchengladbach.
Marcus Thuram is one of the best players in the German championship and Bayern have activated the radar for a long time to be able to get his services. He already sounded in the summer and also in January. But it seems that now he could become a definitive option. The Bavarians prefer to become strong with the best players in their league, as they have shown in recent years. Therefore, the option of Thuram is one they don’t want to let get away. They need a ‘9’ and Marcus would suit them perfectly. In addition, he can also play on the wing, as he has shown in the French team.
Alongside Bayern Munich, other teams want Marcus Thuram. Chelsea, Atlético de Madrid or Juventus have also been in the bid. Especially the English, who already wanted him in January and were close to taking him away by paying a transfer to make sure there was no other club that would convince him before the end of the season.
At the end of the day, there is interest from Barcelona to get Marcus Thuram. The son of former Barcelona player and French legend Lilian Thuram also spent some time at La Masia. He would be happy to come. However, it would take some convincing and financial ability to sign him. And without concensus in the technical staff, it would be hard to sign him.
