The month of September is behind us, and there are some interesting stories in the media channels. Blaugranagram is here to show us the important Barca news updates:
Messi, Ansu and Dembele’s injury status
GOOD NEWS: Messi and Dembélé trained partly with the group today, and despite them not completing a full session with the group, there’s great optimism about them returning & featuring against Inter! If no setbacks occur & they still feel good, they could be in the squad list!
However, despite them potentially getting the medical discharge, given Dembélé’s injury history & Messi not having played much this season, it seems unlikely that either of them would be in the starting eleven. [@fansjavimiguel]
Ansu Fati is unlikely to feature against Inter, according to reports from reliable outlets. Dembélé & Messi could feature, as their recovery is going very well thus far, and bar setbacks, both could feature midweek, though not in the starting eleven.
Tension between the board and the players?
The tension between the board and players continue, with Piqué being the latest to highlight it. “We have to be together, the fans and the board,” Piqué said after the Getafe game. Then, he went on to criticize the board for ‘dictating’ some of the articles in the media.
Piqué: “When someone doesn’t want to get angry, there are no fights. We know the club, we know the newspapers linked to the club, we know who writes the articles, even if someone else signs them.” Messi spoke out, doubting the club’s effort to sign Neymar. [SPORT ]
The Journalists’ Association have rejected Piqué’s accusations and ask for Piqué to respect the profession. The association says that an individual discrediting a report because it isn’t to his liking deviates from the execution of fundamental rights of democracy.
“Professionals in the information industry [e.g. journalists] avoid any situation with conflicts of interest, whether those are political, economical, financial or family related, as described in point 7 of the Code of Ethics. [MARCA]
Ariedo Braida sues the club
Ariedo Braida was fired by Barça on August 12 and is now filing a lawsuit against the club for an unfair dismissal. He’s trying to receive a significant compensation. However, it is probable that he’ll reach an agreement with the club over that. Braida was the club’s international scouting advisor. [@XaviCampos, CatRadio ]
